Now part of the AS Watson Group, it operates over 800 stores across the UK and Ireland, including more than 200 in-store pharmacies. Superdrug is committed to making everyday beauty and healthcare accessible, offering a mix of affordable own-brand products—many of which are cruelty-free—and popular global brands. Its mission, “Doing Good Feels Super,” reflects a focus on sustainability, community support, and customer care. With services like online doctor consultations and a robust loyalty program, Superdrug continues to innovate while staying true to its customer-first ethos.

The Brief

I was subcontracted by AS Watson to work on the Superdrug website, where my primary responsibility was to design user interface elements and spotlight banners for the homepage and key product pages. The goal was to enhance visual appeal, improve user experience, and align with Superdrug’s brand identity and promotional strategy. I developed responsive UI designs that maintained consistency across desktop and mobile platforms. The spotlight banners were tailored to highlight seasonal campaigns, featured products, and key promotional offers. All design assets were delivered on time, optimized for performance, and integrated seamlessly with the development team’s workflow.

The Solution

To meet the brief, I created a suite of visually engaging and user-friendly interface designs that aligned with Superdrug’s brand guidelines and retail objectives. I developed a cohesive design system to ensure consistency across the homepage and product pages, focusing on intuitive navigation and mobile responsiveness. The spotlight banners were designed to be bold, eye-catching, and adaptable for frequent updates—perfect for promoting seasonal offers and key campaigns. I collaborated closely with the development team to ensure smooth implementation and performance optimization. The final outcome was a polished, modern digital experience that supported both customer engagement and sales conversion.
