The Brief

The creative brief was to create an elegant, timeless brand identity for Caramella, a luxury chocolate house rooted in Italian tradition. The goal was to reflect the brand’s heritage of artisanal craftsmanship while appealing to a modern, discerning audience. The agency was asked to design a sophisticated visual language—including logo, packaging, color palette, and typography—that conveyed indulgence, refinement, and authenticity. The branding needed to evoke warmth and richness, with a subtle nod to the brand’s 1930s origins in Piedmont. Every element was to whisper luxury, celebrating the sensory experience of fine chocolate without being overly ornate or traditional.

The Solution

I designed a bold and elegant brand identity for Caramella that fused timeless luxury with a modern sensibility. The logo featured refined serif typography in silver, creating a sleek and sophisticated visual anchor. A rich palette of vibrant red, orange, and gold was used across the brand to evoke depth, energy, and confidence. Inspired by Art Deco, I integrated minimalist geometric patterns to bring structure, elegance, and a sense of heritage to the packaging and collateral. The result was a clean, contemporary identity that positioned Caramella as a premium chocolate brand rooted in tradition but styled for today.

Packaging Design

The Caramella packaging design showcases a luxurious trio of boxes in rich gold, deep red, and emerald orange — each representing a refined expression of the brand’s identity. Intricate Art Deco-inspired linework decorates the surface, lending structure and timeless elegance. A golden logotype in elegant serif typography adds a sophisticated focal point. The chocolates are neatly arranged inside, framed by gold-toned dividers that enhance the premium aesthetic. Together, the vibrant color palette and minimalist design reflect Caramella’s blend of heritage craftsmanship and modern indulgence.
