Founded in 1944, Kia began as a manufacturer of bicycle parts in South Korea before evolving into a major global automotive brand. Today, Kia is known for producing stylish, reliable, and technologically advanced vehicles that offer great value. From compact city cars to innovative electric SUVs, Kia’s diverse lineup reflects its commitment to sustainability, mobility, and forward-thinking design. With a bold new brand identity and a focus on greener transport solutions, Kia continues to inspire progress worldwide, aiming to make driving more enjoyable, efficient, and accessible for everyone, while shaping the future of mobility with innovation at its core.
I was subcontracted by creative agency VCCP to work on the Kia UK website, a key client in their portfolio. My role focused on designing the user interface and creating spotlight banners for the homepage and various product pages. The goal was to deliver a clean, modern, and intuitive digital experience that aligned with Kia’s brand identity and supported their shift toward electric and sustainable mobility. I collaborated closely with UX designers, developers, and the VCCP creative team to ensure consistency, responsiveness, and visual impact across all digital touchpoints, enhancing user engagement and showcasing Kia’s evolving product range effectively.
The Solution
To meet the brief, I designed a cohesive and visually engaging user interface that reflected Kia’s progressive brand identity. I created spotlight banners that highlighted key products, offers, and electric vehicle innovations, ensuring they were visually striking and responsive across all devices. Each element was crafted to support a seamless user journey, with intuitive navigation and strong visual hierarchy. I worked closely with the UX team to align user flows with business goals, and collaborated with developers to ensure design fidelity. The final solution enhanced the overall user experience while effectively communicating Kia’s commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility.
